Washington D.C

Back when I was enlisted in the Air Force, I was stationed at Andrews A.F.B right outside of Washington D.C.  I was able to spend a lot of time visiting the city, it's many attractions and Smithsonian's.  One of the things I like about Washington is that it is a walking city, and each monument is within walking distance from another.  This is a great city to visit with children of any age.  Most of the attractions are free and relatively easy to get to and from.  It is rich with history and culture and I strongly recommend getting away from the Holiday Inn Express and staying at one of Washington's many historic hotels.  We stayed at The Churchill Hotel on Connecticut Ave. and would absolutely recommend it.
